Hey there friends! Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is going well. Tuesday is orangetheory day, so it’s always off to a good (sweaty) start.
As most of you know, I am studying to be a personal trainer. Last week’s material focused on resistance training concepts, and I learned about the benefits of using a peripheral heart action system in circuit training. Basically, this means alternating the focus from the upper the the lower body with each exercise in a circuit, with minimal rest. This challenges your circulatory system and has major benefits.
I’ve included a sample circuit! This one is focused on strength gains, so I would recommend you do 8-12 repetitions with a moderately heavy load. Remember, you should be fatigued by the end of that rep count 🙂 If not, grab something heavier. Aim for three rounds through with minimal rest.
Let me know if you try it!
