This is the EXACT workout I did while traveling. 10 minutes. 0 equipment.

Back to the regularly scheduled programming…
When I started Katherine Lynn Fitness I wanted to fill my blog with the types of posts I love to read. Workouts, easy recipes, mindset pieces, and plenty of “Day in the Life.” Central to these were bodyweight workouts I could do while traveling. When I started my fitness journey, I literally had no idea you could do cardio without a treadmill or elliptical. You can imagine my panic whenever I ended up in a hotel without a fitness center. I remember one trip in particular where there wasn’t a gym and I didn’t feel safe running alone, so I just skipped my workout and was miserable. Bleh.
Oh how things have changed…
Ladies, you can get your sweat on anywhere with absolutely no equipment. Bodyweight workouts are one of the best ways to improve your relative strength while also getting a cardio burn as well. And let’s be real. We should be able to move and lift our bodies well before throwing in a bunch of weight, right?
In that vein, I decided to write a film a hotel room hiit for all of you during a break during the Radiance Retreat last week! <3 The video is one round through, real time, so you can follow along with me.
This is a great little circuit to do while traveling. One round takes ten minutes, so twice or three times through is a fantastic way to fit in your workout and leave time to explore/adventure/relax depending on your vacation flavor.
A couple notes…..
- Listen to your body. If you need breaks in the middle of an exercise, take them.
- I use an ottoman for a couple moves, but you can sub in a step/bench/whatever’s around.
Let me know if you try it! I had a blast filming this one 🙂
