Reviewing my April Stitch Fix Review & talking fashion 🙂
Happy Stitch Fix day everyone!
In case you aren’t familiar with Stitch Fix, it is a program where you get an online stylist who sends you 5 items whenever you prefer (I get items every six weeks). The items your stylist sends are based off of your style profile, which includes everything from fit to style to budget. You’ve got three days to try everything on in the comfort of your home, with your current wardrobe all around you. Then, you choose what to keep and send back what you don’t like (totally free – shipping is included).
This time, I asked my lovely stylist, Laura, to send me clothes for spring: sleeveless blouses, skirts, and dresses that could easily go from the office to going “out” (drinking wine with Juno on some patio). I also requested light weight fabrics that will take me into the crazy hot ATX summer.
She sent me some awesome items!
April 2016 Stitch Fix Review
Gracelyn Pencil Skirt
I love the idea of this skirt, definitely could go from work to dinner, and the fabric was awesome-super smooth and light weight. However, when I put it on, I wasn’t crazy about the fit. It was tight on my bum and hips, shocker. Maybe this is how pencil skirts are supposed to fit but it made me self conscious! I thought of this skirt as a “maybe,” but when I have that feeling, I’ve learned to return the item.
Navarra Printed Front Seam Cotton Top
Again, love the idea of this sleeveless, cotton top but it was a little wide for me. The length in the back was also a little long. Maybe if it were a little more tailored or had a different pattern on the front seam, I would keep it.
Andrina Embroidery Blouse
This was so beautiful in the box, and I loved it even more once I put it on. The fabric is so soft, and I love the femininity of the style! It looks so cute tucked into a skirt (see above 😉 ) but I also love it with jeans.
Mori Henley Top
Me in a top. As soon as I saw this top, there was no question I would keep it. Awesome colors, sleeveless, and fitted enough to not make me look boxy.
Alison Swing Dress
I’ve been coveting after this dress since I saw it on Gina’s Stitch Fix review post. She totally rocks it!! I was super excited that it works on my body type too! Love that I can wear this to work with a cardigan and flats or dress it up with a fun necklace to go out.
